Paul Beaupré MD, Chief Executive Officer
Years of working as an anesthesiologist prepared Paul Beaupré perhaps better than anything to become the CEO of San Jose’s Good Samaritan Hospital. In a profession that requires being on call day or night, Beaupré spent 22 years practically living at the hospital.
After extensive leadership service on the Medical Staff of Good Samaritan Hospital including election as Chief of Staff, Dr. Beaupré joined the senior leadership team of the hospital as Vice-President of Medical Affairs in 2004. In January 2010, he took the helm as CEO, succeeding the retiring Bill Piché.
Dian Adams RN MBA, Chief Nursing Officer
From her earliest days as a pediatric and neonatal intensive care nurse to her decades of leadership of hospital nursing practice, Ms. Adams has emphasized the development of individual and collective nurse responsibility for high quality, safe patient care and outstanding patient experience. She holds a BS RN from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and an MBA in Health Care Administration from University of Dallas. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Texas Christian University. Ms. Adams is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau national nursing honorary fraternity. She has served on academic advisory boards for nursing programs at Grayson County College, Collin County College, University of Miami and University of South Florida.
Art Douville MD, Chief Medical Officer
After a distinguished career as a neurologist in private practice, Dr. Douville became Chief Medical Officer at Good Samaritan Hospital to lead 21st century initiatives in quality improvement. Dr. Douville was highly instrumental in the hospital’s initial advanced accreditation as a Joint Commission-recognized Primary Stroke Center and was a co-investigator in several stroke treatment trials. As past Chief of Staff, he is uniquely positioned to engage the Medical Staff in continuous quality improvement focused on evidence-based medicine. He is a long-time member of the American College of Physician Executives.
Darrel Neuenschwander CPA, Chief Financial Officer
As an audit manager with Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Neuenschwander managed healthcare and publishing industry clients. With a variety of companies, he oversaw numerous acquisitions, divestitures and major turn-arounds in publicly held and nonprofit healthcare organizations, including taking a company to the NYSE. He joined HCA in 1996 as EVP, CFO/COO to transition Good Samaritan Hospital ownership and practices and to financial strength. A graduate of California State University at Long Beach, he is an Advanced Member of HFMA, past chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPA's Health Care Institutions Committee and a member of the Managed Care Committee of the California Hospital Association. He has served several community organizations as a Board member, CFO/Treasurer and in other leadership roles.
Faraaz Yousuf MBA, Chief Operating Officer
A product of HCA’s executive development program, Mr. Yousuf has had significant planning and operational experience at the corporate and local hospital level. He managed more than 20 strategic development projects with oversight for $350 million in capital investment annually. At Medical City Dallas Hospital, he led service lines and ancillary staff developing significant improvements in employee engagement, patient satisfaction, physician involvement and fiscal performance. Mr. Yousuf earned his bachelor and master’s degrees at Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2011, he was named a Rising Star by Becker’s Hospital Review and one of 25 outstanding young healthcare executives by Modern Healthcare magazine, as well as recognized in the Silicon Valley San Jose Business Journal’s 40 under 40 edition.
