Restore Quality of Life: Bariatric Surgery

Our goal is to restore the quality of life for patients suffering from obesity. With the support of our surgical weight loss program, patients regain hope, enjoyment of everyday life and confidence. If you suffer from obesity and have been unable to lose weight despite following a healthy diet and getting regular exercise, weight loss surgery—also called bariatric surgery—may be an option.

Program Recognized for Excellence

At Good Samaritan Hospital, we have been helping people restore their health and quality of life for more than a decade. The program offers a multidisciplinary team of professionals that can educate and support you before, during, and after your surgery. Staying involved in a support group is important to long-term success, which you can achieve with the help of Good Samaritan Hospital.

The San Jose surgical weight loss program at Good Samaritan Hospital is nationally accredited. We've been an ASMBS Center of Excellence for Bariatrics (American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery) since 2005. Our bariatric surgeons are members of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and our certified bariatric nurses have specialty certifications in this area.

Not only that, but our surgeons have performed more than 2,250 weight loss surgeries.

"I've struggled with weight my whole life."
