Supportive Care for Good Samaritan Hospital Patients
At Good Samaritan Hospital, we believe that healthy lives include not only
physical, but mental and emotional well-being. That's why our highly
qualified staff works as a team to promote our patients' overall health,
mind, and body through our comprehensive San Jose behavioral health services.
We provide the following services:
Our expert team is comprised of psychiatrists, addiction medicine doctors,
licensed psychology technicians, licensed vocational nurses, licensed
clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, psychiatric
registered nurses, and chemical dependency counselors. We are dedicated
to providing inpatient and outpatient services tailored to meet each patient's
Calendar of Community Support Groups
Chemical Dependency Program
Good Samaritan Hospital offers several treatment options for substance
abuse or dependent patients. We understand that most addictive disorders
are complex, multi-faceted, progressive illnesses, which is why we personalize
treatment, and focus on ongoing prevention and alumni aftercare.
Our Inpatient Medical Detoxification unit provides safe detoxification
from certain drugs and alcohol. While at our outpatient detoxification,
an attending physician manages patients' detoxification to ensure
safe withdrawal. The Chemical Dependency Partial Hospitalization Program
is a weekday program of six hours a day incorporating dual diagnosis treatment
and relapse prevention.
Tailored Inpatient & Outpatient Services
We have an adult partial hospitalization program, which is a cost-effective
alternative to 24-hour inpatient hospitalization. We also feature an intensive
outpatient program to assist patients who are transitioning back to living
at home or are returning to work. Our dual diagnosis intensive outpatient
program can additionally help for those who have suffered from addictive
and diagnosed mental illnesses.
Our San Jose hospital has been providing adult psychiatric inpatient services
to the community successfully since 1965 in a safe, supportive environment.
Our goal is to provide quality care and to return the patient to his or
her home as soon as possible.
