Doctor Dwain Coggins studied cardiac electrophysiology under Dr. Melvin
Scheinman at UCSF and has been board certified in clinical practice as
an electrophysiologist in the San Jose area since 1992. He has helped
to pioneer catheter ablation as definitive treatment of cardiac rhythm
problems in San Jose and the Santa Clara County.
Dr. Coggins currently works as Director of the Heart Rhythm Center at Good
Samaritan Hospital of San Jose.
Dwain spent much of his youth in Kenya, East Africa, and grew up in upstate
New York. He is an avid cyclist and backcountry skier and is an award-winning
winemaker. He lives in Saratoga with his wife.
